CleanWell Soaps“Cleanliness is godliness,” or say the saying goes.

When it comes to what we use for cleaning, though, it becomes questionable whether or not all forms of ‘cleanliness’ should really be so celebrated. Though you may not first think it, not all disinfectant wipes and sprays, nor all or hand soaps and sanitizers, are created equal.

Just look at what you’re using with normal cleaners and disinfectants: formaldehyde, alkylphenolic compounds/APEs, phosphates, phthalates, dyes, and artificial fragrances. So while you’re achieving a germ free environment, you’re putting yourself, your family, and the environment directly in contact with dangerous chemicals.

Lucky for us, an effective, healthy, and natural alternative exists:  CleanWell.

What is CleanWell?

CleanWell was born from the very real problem of needing to keep one’s home environment healthy and safe, but without harsh chemicals or toxins. It all started when a boy named Conor was born with an immune system disorder. His father, Sam, knew he needed to provide a clean environment, free from both germs and viruses, as well as industrial toxins. Being an inventor, Sam set out to discover natural means of cleanliness, and soon discovered Thyme – an effective, yet natural cleaner. As word spread, Stanford educated Dr. Weiss came on board, and it was only a matter of time until CleanWell realized its full potential of being a cleaning product everyone could enjoy.

CleanWell To Go: Making it Easy to Stay Healthy

We were lucky enough to try two of the new To Go products: the To Go Wipes and the To Go Disinfectant Spray.

Clean Well To Go

I personally loved each item. Recently, I’ve been cruising around in a family member’s car (my brother), who – well – doesn’t have the best reputation for keeping things clean and sanitary. Needless to say, the timing of this review lined up perfect: I had the opportunity to objectively test both products. Equipped with each, I set out to make the car a bit more drivable.

I first started with the wipes. I first found out that the package is deceptively small – the wipes, once pulled out, unfold to about twice their apparent size. This made for a wipe with quite a bit of life to it. With about three wipes, I was able to clean off the dash, steering wheel, radio, shifter, and window controls, the cup holders, and even that little area under your E-brake. Now, I can’t stress this enough – this area was filthy. There was sticky spots, clumps of dirt, and other things I can’t find the words to describe. Despite this, though, the wipes stood up to the beating. They remained strong, never teared, and were able to pick up some serious dirt. Plus, they disinfected the entire area, killing up to 99.9% of germs! I’m giving these an A+.

The disinfectant spray may have had a harder task in front of it. To CleanWell, this spray should do two things: 1) kill germs and 2) eliminate odors. I was worried about it being able to live up to the second promise. Yet, with ease, the spray lifted funny smells right out of the car (and after retesting it today, I discovered that while the smells are faintly there, they are much less pervasive). This isn’t an alternative to shampooing, of course, but if you need to get rid of specific smells from specific spots, this is what you’ve been looking for.

All in all, I think both of the to go products are great for parents, students, or anyone who might encounter something that needs a quick disinfecting. As a usual rider of the Metro, I know that having a wipe for my own hands after a few buses would be very welcome. I give ‘em two thumbs up!

Discover CleanWell

Given the exceptional quality, natural ingredients, and purpose-driven mission behind CleanWell, I couldn’t recommend them enough. So many of us use some type of wipe or disinfectant, but as we now know, not all of these are created equal. Too many cleaners contain harsh chemicals and toxins that might be counteracting our mission of creating a truly healthy environment. Now, you’ve got the option between active ingredients you can’t pronounce and the naturally effective ingredient of thyme.
