Outside the manufacturing plant, the materials are sources sustainably – the bamboo only comes from areas the Chinese government has designated for sustainability, the glass is made up of 51 percent recycle materials, and the plastic is BPA free (not to mention dishwasher safe). All in all, this makes for a fantastically sustainable, healthy choice for a reusable bottle. You can really get the feel of the quality from the weight, which is a bit heavy even without liquid (not too bad, though).

Weight was something we noted, but aesthetically we really like the Bamboo Bottle. The amount of liquid is also a bit disconcerting. I, personally, keep mine in the office and use it for whatever I’m drinking here, helping me avoid carrying it around or worrying about how much I have to drink. Plus, it is also one of the better reusuables for hot liquids.

You know how they could have been even more sustainable? Don’t make them at all. Seems to be a superfluous purchase to me. A good thermos is a better choice. They’re cooler (or would that be hotter?) anyway. In the immortal words of The Jerk, “I’m picking out a thermos for you!”
