A Bit about Hip
Founded in 2008 by Suzy Hawbaker, Hip Mountain Mama looks to connect everyone – be it a grandma, parent, or college student – with pure, natural, and sustainable products for a better lifestyle. Hawbaker always had a mind for natural living, but with the birth of her children, she found herself engaging more and more with the movement.
In a stepwise motion, Hawbaker began changing things in their diet (like avoiding GMOs and heavily processed snacks) and changing things around the house (like soaps and detergents). As the lifestyle evolved, Hawbaker was somewhat dismayed at the necessity to go to multiple store fronts or websites for single products. She then decided fuse this need with her love of online shopping.
Withing two weeks, Hip Mountain Mama was there.
The business would serve as a source for consumers, a new venue for small family owned business, and a tool for those interested in learning and discovering new businesses and products. Today, you can find awesome products like Organic Wool Dryer Balls, Funky Glass Straws, and Repeat Utensil Sets.
Needless to say, Hip Mountain Mama has contributed greatly to the pursuit of natural living. To Suzy, she is able to remain a stay at home while supporting and contributing to something she really believes in. It’s fun, purpose-filled, and she is passionate about the movement.
