Sparklehearts Natural BeautyWhen it comes to living a healthier lifestyle, you don’t want to overlook your family and their special needs. Unfortunately, not all health and eco-conscious companies appeal to the younger generation. Rather than fun designs and branding kids can relate to, it’s common to find plain, single-colored bottles emphasizing purpose over pleasure. This is certainly reasonable, especially for an older generation, but it doesn’t tend to resonate with the most important people: the future generation.

This doesn’t have to be so, though. And that’s exactly what the minds at Sparklehearts think. The company has worked diligently to develop products that are better for the planet and its people while also being appealing the youth.

For this review, we had the chance to sample the complete Sparklehearts line – including the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, detangler spray, and body lotion.¬† Let’s find out how Sparklehearts is making it easy to teach health and sustainability!

The Story of Sparklehearts

The birth of Sparklehearts originated with a Mom who knew that natural was better. With environmentally conscious products, consumers could achieve better planetary and personal health. The trick was impressing these values onto the young, who often don’t see something like “natural” being much fun.

So, how can you turn “natural” into something¬† fun in order to inspire young girls to make healthy choices? In March of 2009, the answer revealed itself: Sparklehearts was born.

Products that Sparkle

Every product from Sparklehearts comes in a neat, well-designed bottle that is perfect for the 13 and under age range. While there are only five products in all, they provide you with everything you need to make the bathroom a bit greener without breaking the bank. The scent is sweet, but not overwhelming, there are no artificial colors, and none of the products are ever tested on animals. Ethical, ecological, and economical – perfect!

Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash

These three make the perfect shower/bath time trio. With a sweet, mild scent, it’s perfect for young kids who need to get the smell of the day off their bodies. The shampoo and body wash had an interesting consistency – both seemed more “gel-like” than traditional shampoos or body washes (which may be due to their natural and organic ingredients). This wasn’t a problem at all though – they both generated some nice suds and will leave you feeling clean and fresh. The conditioner was excellent, too. It quickly smoothed out the roots and left the hair feeling soft to the touch!

Body Lotion

While I had some reservation about testing this because of the sparkles, it soon proved my worries wrong. Not only was it great at hydrating the skin, but it also had the same sweet scent of the other products! Plus, the sparkles really weren’t that noticeable.

Hair Detangler

While I’m no professional on detanglers, I could immediately tell that this worked. It quickly smoothed out the hair and made it easy to run a comb through. As someone who as finer hair that can easily tangle up, I’ve found this to be a practical and effective addition to my bathroom. Plus, it added some nice shine!

Give the Gift of Sparklehearts!

With all the great things about Sparklehearts, it’s no wonder they offer a gift-size package of their Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, and Lotion. It is excellent for travel, perfect for testing the products out, and makes for a snazzy holiday or birthday present. Check out the Sparklehearts gift set today! They’ll soon be offering a new line of products geared toward older girls, so keep an eye out for that too!
