Now that I’m nearly done with this challenge, I beginning to think I could live relatively within the $25 range each week – maybe $35. All in all, today was too rough. I slept in a bit because it was Saturday and was able to just mosey around the apartment writing and resting. Without anything to really tax my physically energy, I kept my calorie burn count low.

Again, I spaced out my meals to help me feel satisfied throughout the day. Likewise, I drank a lot of water to help beat back the hungry feeling. All in all, I tried to conserve as much as possible to be sure I could have enough for tomorrow.

Day 1 Summary:

  • Transportation – $0
  • Food (aggregate) – $3
  • Entertainment – $0
  • Other – $0

Here’s the meal break down!

Breakfast -

  • Toast with jelly, 1 slice
  • Apple (about an hour after toast)

Lunch:

  • 1 slice bread
  • 1 egg
  • salad (about an hour after sandwich)

Dinner:

  • 1 1/2 cup pasta
  • olive oil, garlic for seasoning
  • 1/2 cup zucchini/squash
  • 1/4 onion (found in fridge!)
  • 1 egg
  • Salad

Snack:

  • Quesadilla (1 tortilla)

I’m basically set to eat the same meal list tomorrow. For my final post, I’ll tally up my daily meal costs, do an evaluation of the diet, suggest changes for future frugality challenges, and discuss some of the questionable ground rules of something like this. There were a lot of great ideas along the way, but because I had already gone shopping, it was hard implement them.

Till next time!
