One of the biggest problems in the United States is inefficiency. Per capita, we are one of the worst countries in the world regarding energy. In fact, as discussed in the article “Can We Get Over Oil in 20 Years?“, Organic Soul pointed to the fact that we use 3 gallons of gasoline for every man, woman, and child in the United States every day. That’s a lot of energy. Unfortunately, that’s just one measure of our energy inefficiency (and dependence).
So what do you do to be more efficient? I’d like to hear about project big and small. Have you invested in renewable energy? Maybe weatherized your home?

Take short showers. Changed incandescent light bulbs to curly que types. Turn lights off when leaving a room. Keep house at 65F in the winter and 78F in the summer. Use thermal curtains. Never water the lawn or plants.
