After a long day, I like to exercise for a bit, then head outside to go enjoy nature. Simply put, it helps me unwind, appreciate the day’s work, and get prepared for tomorrow, when I’ll do it all over again. When the weather isn’t cooperating, I’ll just lay back on the couch and read.

We have a national park nature trail here in VA, probably 50 miles long. Use to be area for train tracks, from WDC to the Shenandoah. I walk and run on this often to relax. I love seeing the deer and other animals along the way – except snakes sunning on the trail… That gets my heart pumping in an unnatural way…

I hop on my bike and ride about a mile to the Venice Beach bike path, then head North away from the chaos. It’s a leisurely ride along the Pacific with the gorgeous Santa Monica mountains and Malibu as the backdrop. Visiting a specific exhibit at an art museum usually relaxes and inspires me, too.
